The tour starts from the Tiberine island with the oldest bridges of the city dating back to I century bc. The island was the home of Esculapius the god of medicine. You will then reach Piazza St. Benedetto with a precious medieval church. there, in Ancient times, the Romans built a public pool for navel battles.
The guide will then take you to the Basilica of ST. Cecilia, St. Maria in Trastevere, st. Crisogono and down to the crypts below these churches. You will see the ancient city walls and climb the hill of Janus the god of passageways until you reach the XVII century Paoline Fountain and a breathtaking belvedere on the way you will also visit some authentic local bakeries with fresh bread, pizza and pastries.
